Amy Winehouse Biopic Won't Happen, Father Insists

As fun as it to debate who should play Amy Winehouse in a big-screen adaptation of her life, such arguments will ultimately be moot. According to the late singer's father, Mitch, there's never going to be a biopic.

Speaking with the Daily Mail, Mitch Winehouse said he'd block efforts to make such a movie by denying the filmmakers rights to Amy's material.

"It would hardly be a biopic without the music, and we'd never allow the songs to be released," he told the newspaper.
